THE WORD [PROFITABLE OR NON PROFITABLE]

·         The word of God is authentic, it is God himself according to the scripture(John 1:1-2)

·         The word of God must fulfil its purpose in which it is sent forth(Isa 55:11,matt 5:18)

       

                         Qualities of the word (psalm 29:4-9)

·       The voice of the Lord[The Word]is powerful (Heb 4:12)

·         The voice of the Lord is full of majesty

·         The voice of the Lord breaketh cedars, not just cedars but cedars of Lebanon

·         The voice of the Lord makes great mountain skip like rain

·         The voice of the Lord divided the flames of fire

·         The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness of kadesh

·         The voice of the Lord maketh hands to calve, discoureth the forests

·         The word can never perish (Luke 16:17) nor fail (Isa 40:8)

·         The word brings light (psalm 119:130,105)

·         The word of God is settled already (psalm 119:89,1 peter 1:25),This has shown that before God finish speaking it is done (Gen 1:3)

ONE QUESTION I WANT TO ASK YOU IS, WHY IS THE WORD NOT WORKING, NOT PROFITABLE TO SOME CHRISTIANS?

                    The word of God is 100% Authentic (Heb 4:2), the word didn't work for them, or the word is not profitable to them because of their unbelief, because they lack faith.

                                                    WORD + FAITH = RESULTS

The word was not fixed with faith “in them” after hearing these before it didn't produce result for them.

            Little wonder when the scripture says “without faith it’s impossible to please God”

Once there is doubt in you, the word won’t work for you. The word must be stirred up with believe to produce results (Numbers 13:1-33). Out of the twelve spies, only two brought back positive report, the others were moved by the environment, they believe what their five senses tells them than what God tells them.

              “And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants:  and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”(Numbers 13:33)

·         This kind of statement is an insult to God despite what he told them (Numbers 13:2) “Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel:  of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.”

·         This kind of statement provoked God (Numbers 14:1).

·         The ten spies underestimated the efficiency of the word of God, once you do this, you underestimate God [Writing as a man].

·         They underestimate the creation of the heavens and earth (psalm 24:1, proverbs 3:19 )

Men and brethren, where is our life, Are we underestimating the word of God??

Search your Life, don’t be quick to point at the ten faithless leaders[spies] but be quick to check your life and search your heart.
