Sunday Service Sermon(7th September,2014)

                     Message Title: Making Good success

                   In the book of Daniel we read that king Nebuchadnezzar had a dream but he forgot, he then asked of all the astrologers  to tell him  his dream and interpret the dream for him Dan 2:46
        Our God is a God of success, there is no failure in God John 1:5b " that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all." , Gen 1:1-27.
           God never failed at creation? Anything he said came to pass , Our God is a God of success and we can't find failure in him and it is because of these he wants all his sons and daughters to become success. Part of God's divine DNA of success was released into man, and after he breath into him, he gave him the first exam to name all the animals in the kingdom and after that he had good success. Now lets look at verses 19 and 20 of Gen 1, and the names he gave them, that was the name he already gave them in other-words God had a name for every animal that he created but he wanted to test the success of the DNA he passed unto us
Why does God wants us to be successful
       Our being successful reveals his glory : your failure does not do good to God, Why would a child of God be failing? God desires to see us successful , good success, outstanding success .

7 keys to being successful

1. Meditation
2.Understanding your peculiarity
3.Deal with the fear of failure and success impossibility mentality
4.Disassociate from those who don't believe in good success
5. Right priority and avoiding distraction
6. Hard-work
7.praying in tongues

1. Meditation : ( psalm 119:89 , 90 , 99 & 100)
          The things we read in the scripture are not for writing sake, most times we feel its impossible not to have understanding more than your teachers.The reason we have more understanding is when the testimony of God is our meditation. How does it work? The word of God is letter , The word of God is spirit , The word of God is light . Meditation is bringing out the light in the word , when you draw out the light that is the letter in the word via discipline. when you get the light out, it lightens up your spirit , when your spirit lightens up , your mind follows suit  that is your mind becomes lightened by your spirit so when you read your books, you don't lack understanding because your mind carry more that what you see in your books. when you read you have an understanding of what is written, in other words you see beyond what you are reading and you understanding beyond the letter. Mediation facilitates success, the psalmist said his secret is meditation.

2.Understanding your peculiarity (Mat 25 :14-15)
            There are several abilities so acknowledge the fact that your ability differs from that of your neighbor, there is nobody God created without depositing gifts. You have to understand that there is a time you would read and you would understand, you must identify the best time you read and understand. You must understand yourself and be able to channel and plan yourself based on what you have discovered ypurself, the reason you are failing is because you have not come to a knowledge of the tiem that fits you best

3.Deal with the fear of failure and success impossibility mentality( Num 13:17-23 , Judges 8 :20)
             Two out of twelve had a good report but ten had a bad report, the majority believe it was impossible even when God himself had said he would get it . Fear is a limitation , it limits you from achieving , it limits you from your potentials , it stops you from getting to where God wants you to get to . Some people are here , you already have the mentality that you cannot pass a particular course because you believe is difficult. Listen, success is a spiritual thing , you have to get in the spirit for certain times during your reading period. Have a successful possibility mentality! , Nothing is difficult, if you don't know it, tell someone to teach you. 
      Fear limits potential release, success would be UN-achievable where fear exists.

4.Disassociate from those who don't believe in good success (1 cor 15:33)
   
             Who you associate with determines what associates with you , associate with the wise , wisdom comes to you , if you associate with fools, foolishness comes to you. Wrong association attracts destruction. Choose your friends wisely , if a failure tries to associate yourself with you, run!

5. Right priority and avoiding distraction(Mat 17:23 , 1 cor 14:40, Pro 6:6-8)
           Priority is doing the first thing first, for those of you in 100 - 300 , your priority now should be your GPA. If a man must succeed he must start from now to lay good foundations.
                     
6. Hard-work ( Pro 22:29)
     Failure of preparation is failure to succeed, many of you who like one week to exam rhema should know that failure is not far from you. A distinction student is a hard-worker, a distinction student reads before the time of exam. be wise and be a hard-worker. Laziness is one of the greatest enemy of success , you cannot amount to anything in life if you are lazy , the pathway to good success is diligence. if you are diligent and God can see it, he would reward you.

7 . Praying in tongues
      a. When you pray in the spirit, you move what you have read into the spiritual realm
      b. When you talk in tongues, you ignite the auction that God has given that makes you know all               things.
      The bible says they that those who know their God shall be strong, knowledge releases strength, strength accumulates into outstanding achievements , you cannot be talking about Good success if you don't know God.if you know God, you would fear him , if you fear him you would be far from sin.
